CREATIVE PARTnERSHIPS

A collaboration between BFP Creative and other non-profits to educate, train and support our local community of artists, makers, learners, and entrepreneurs.

BFP Classroom

This program was designed to bring inclusive filmmaking education and skills to members of the New York community with no previous filmmaking education, while utilizing a simple, and universal tool: the cell phone. BFP Creative marked the completion of the workshop series with a screening of the completed films, along with a short documentary about the program, which was open to the public. Filmmakers, programmers and educators were all in attendance.

The idea came together thanks to a long-standing collaboration with two other non-profit partners, The Millennium Film Workshop and Job Path. Along with its partners in Newburgh, NY, BFP Creative plans to continue to offer a similar Classroom series at the completed P.S. 6 Center, supporting creativity and providing hands-on tools to self-expression.

Job Path Collaboration

Through a partnership with Job Path, a non-profit which supports people with developmental disabilities, BFP Creative and Job Path’s Art/Division present “The Exhibitions,” a salon style evening featuring art and a film screening at Brooklyn Fire Proof. Art/Division is a group of artists sponsored by Job Path, and Brooklyn Fire Proof is a creative spaces business in Bushwick that has lent its facilities and resources to BFP Creative to inclusively promote and support the work of artists.
